How do I connect BitRemote to aria2?
Run aria2 with its RPC interface enabled, then enter the RPC address and your secret token in BitRemote.
Can I access aria2 remotely when I am away from home?
Yes, if your server is reachable. BitRemote connects to the address you provide, so it works on your home network out of the box. To reach aria2 from outside, use your own remote access, such as a VPN, Tailscale, a reverse proxy, or port forwarding with dynamic DNS.
Does BitRemote work over HTTPS or with a self-signed certificate?
Yes. You can connect over HTTPS, with an option to allow self-signed or otherwise untrusted certificates.
What can I add to aria2 from my iPhone?
Paste a magnet link or a direct download link, or pick a .torrent file. You can also share a .torrent into BitRemote from Safari or the Files app.
Does BitRemote have notifications or home screen widgets?
