BitRemote Privacy Policy

By using BitRemote, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We use the information we collect to provide and improve BitRemote, and we do not use or share it with anyone except as described in this policy.

While you use BitRemote, we may collect personally identifiable information for purposes that include ad delivery and usage analysis. We keep the information we collect and use it only as described in this policy.

BitRemote uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Their privacy policies are linked below:

The credentials you enter for your downloaders are never sent to us, so we cannot see them. BitRemote stores passwords in the system Keychain on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are encrypted before they leave your device. Each backup you export is also encrypted with its own password.

When an error occurs in the app, we collect data and information on your device through third-party products (“Log Data”). Log Data may include your device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the app’s configuration when you use BitRemote, the time and date of your use, and other statistics.

This section applies to the bitremote.app website, not the BitRemote app described elsewhere in this policy.

We use TelemetryDeck, a cookieless and anonymized analytics service, to measure page views and link taps on this website. The data we record is limited to the address of the page you visited (including any campaign parameters in it), the site that referred you, the language of the page you were viewing, and which App Store or downloader link you tapped.

Your browser keeps a randomly generated identifier in local storage so that repeat visits from the same browser are not counted twice. This identifier is hashed before it is sent to TelemetryDeck, contains no personal information, and is never used to track you across other websites. It is cleared automatically whenever you clear this site’s data.

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to:

• Help us run BitRemote; • Provide BitRemote on our behalf; • Perform services related to BitRemote; or • Help us analyze how BitRemote is used.

These third parties have access to your personal information so they can perform the tasks we assign to them. They are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

We value your trust in providing us your personal information, so we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

BitRemote may contain links to other sites. If you click a third-party link, you will be taken to that site. These external sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

BitRemote is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from them. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary steps.

This Privacy Policy shall be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of Japan. Furthermore, for disputes related to this Privacy Policy, the Tokyo Summary Court or the Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive agreed jurisdictional court of first instance, depending on the amount of the claim.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so we advise you to review this page periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
