Why use BitRemote with qBittorrent

qBittorrent is powerful, but the desktop web workflow is not always ideal on mobile devices. BitRemote gives you a dedicated interface on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for remote task management and status checks.

FAQ

How do I connect BitRemote to qBittorrent?
Turn on the Web UI in qBittorrent's settings, then enter its address, username, and password in BitRemote.
Can I access qBittorrent remotely when I am away from home?
Yes, if your server is reachable. BitRemote connects to the address you provide, so it works on your home network out of the box. To reach qBittorrent from outside, use your own remote access, such as a VPN, Tailscale, a reverse proxy, or port forwarding with dynamic DNS.
Does BitRemote work over HTTPS or with a self-signed certificate?
Yes. You can connect over HTTPS, with an option to allow self-signed or otherwise untrusted certificates.
Can I add a magnet link or torrent file from my iPhone?
Yes. Paste a magnet link or pick a .torrent file in the app. You can also share a .torrent into BitRemote from Safari or the Files app.
Can I use BitRemote with a seedbox?
Yes. If your seedbox exposes qBittorrent's Web UI, add its address and credentials the same way you would for a home server.
Does BitRemote have notifications or home screen widgets?
Not in the current version. Download notifications, home screen widgets, and Live Activities are in development for the upcoming v2.0 update.
